Recap: Lansing Lions vs. Pittsburg Dragons
The Lansing Lions fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past Pittsburg with a 19-14 victory on Friday. For Lansing, this counts as revenge for the 31-14 defeat Pittsburg walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2021.
Lansing's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caden Howell, who picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Lansing also got a significant boost from Tyrone Butler jr., who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.
Lansing now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Pittsburg, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.
Lansing will take on Blue Valley Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Valley Southwest will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Pittsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
