Football Recap: Amory Takes a Loss

Amory was the 49-28 winner over Aberdeen when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a 28-9 margin on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aberdeen found their leader in sophomore Kobe Payne, who rushed for 42 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 102 yards and one TD.

Amory's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Aberdeen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Amory will host South Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aberdeen, they are taking a road trip to square off against Itawamba Agricultural at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
