Volleyball Game Preview: Community Charter Titans vs. Valley Oaks CES Vanguards

Community Charter hasn't had much luck against Valley Oaks CES recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Titans will challenge the Vanguards at 3:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Community Charter is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeview Charter.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 26-28, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Valley Oaks CES didn't have quite enough to beat Bert Corona Charter on Monday and fell 3-2. While the Vanguards didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 25-21 in the first set.

Valley Oaks CES took Bert Corona Charter into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-13, 22-25, 25-22, 15-8.

Valley Oaks CES' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Community Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything went Community Charter's way against Valley Oaks CES when the teams last played back in March, as Community Charter made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
