Scott is a perfect 10-0 against Southwestern Heights since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Beavers will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Scott has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while Southwestern Heights will come in with three straight wins.

Scott is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Cimarron on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Bluejays.

Ava Deines made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs.

Meanwhile, Southwestern Heights hadn't done well against Spearville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Lancers. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Southwestern Heights' victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Scott, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
