Bacon Academy is a perfect 10-0 against Plainfield since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bacon Academy challenged Norwich Free Academy on Thursday. The Bobcats fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The Bobcats have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-12, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Plainfield entered their tilt with Killingly on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Trailbazers.

Plainfield took Killingly into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 23-25, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Bacon Academy better focus on containing Paige Sears and Shae Valentin as the pair were huge in Plainfield's win. Sears had 38 assists and 22 digs, while Valentin had 40 digs and one assist. That's the most assists Sears has posted over her last eight contests. Makayla Banas was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Plainfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in four consecutive matches.

Plainfield now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Bacon Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Bacon Academy beat Plainfield 3-1 in their previous matchup on October 2nd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
