Soccer Recap: Riverside Prep Victorious

It's playoff time, and Riverside Prep had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged the Saddleback Roadrunners out 2-1 on Thursday. The result kept the Silver Knights happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 14th.

Julian Martinez and Gabriel Suarez scored both of Riverside Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Riverside Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five matches. As for Saddleback, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Riverside Prep will challenge Channel Islands at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Saddleback does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
