Football Recap: Groesbeck Takes a Loss

Groesbeck's last matchup with Grandview could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Goats were dealt a 62-10 defeat at the hands of the Zebras. The Goats haven't had much luck with the Zebras recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Groesbeck's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Grandview, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Groesbeck will challenge West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Goats will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Grandview, they will face off against Maypearl at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Zebras will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.86 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
