Softball Game Preview: Barbourville Tigers vs. Bell County Bobcats

Barbourville and Bell County are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tigers will face off against the Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Barbourville is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Barbourville fell victim to Knott County Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Bell County came up short against Middlesboro on Tuesday and fell 9-6. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bell County's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Barbourville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Barbourville came out on top in a nail-biter against Bell County in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
