Providence Hall is on a three-game streak of home losses, Juan Diego Catholic a seven-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Providence Hall Patriots will take on the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Providence Hall came up short against Park City and fell 38-30.
Despite their defeat, Providence Hall saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ireland Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Krebs, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Juan Diego Catholic took a serious blow against Summit Academy on Thursday, falling 58-28. Juan Diego Catholic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.
Providence Hall has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Juan Diego Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19.
Providence Hall was able to grind out a solid win over Juan Diego Catholic in their previous meeting back in January, winning 35-28. Will Providence Hall repeat their success, or does Juan Diego Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
