Preview: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. Liberty Leopards
Mineral Ridge has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Liberty Leopards at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Mineral Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Mineral Ridge didn't have too much trouble with Orange on the road as they won 64-46. With that victory, Mineral Ridge brought their scoring average up to 54 points per game.
Mineral Ridge relied on the efforts of Gianna Gilbert, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds, and Ava Hulett, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hulett has scored at least 25% of Mineral Ridge's points. Kelcee Dye was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Liberty suffered a tough 59-36 defeat at the hands of McDonald on Thursday. Liberty has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 3-0 season records intact.
