For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Lakeview and Shepaug Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Warriors fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Lakeview couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Elian Vega, who's now up to two this season.

Lakeview now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Shepaug Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Looking ahead, Lakeview will face off against Northwestern Regional at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Shepaug Valley has already played their next contest (against Housatonic-Lakeview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
