Baseball Recap: Peoria Takes a Loss

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Centennial Chargers, falling 21-1. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 22-0 to the Chargers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Stlyz Drummond made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that he snagged this season.

Peoria's record now sits at 0-7. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

While Peoria had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
