Michigan Center has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Columbia Central Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Michigan Center is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Columbia Central in Michigan (Michigan Center is ranked 48th, while Columbia Central is ranked 190th).
In what's become a running theme this season, Michigan Center gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. Everything went their way against East Jackson as Michigan Center made off with a 65-45 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Michigan Center has posted against East Jackson since February 19, 2021.
Meanwhile, Columbia Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They secured a 52-47 W over Hanover-Horton.
Columbia Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylen Lambka, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolie Brown, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Michigan Center's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. Columbia Central's record now sits at 6-3.
Michigan Center might still be hurting after the 55-30 defeat they got from Columbia Central when the teams last played back in December of 2022.
