 Loretto put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season  on Thursday. They blew past the Collinwood Trojans 10-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Loretto also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2023.
  Emily Cozart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Aubrey Ezell, who  went 4-for-5 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs.  Jenny Clifton was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 Loretto now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Collinwood, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
 Loretto will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Zion Christian Academy at 5:30  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Loretto: 3.5, Zion Christian Academy: 2.1) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Collinwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
