Basketball Recap: Nacogdoches Comes Up Short

Nacogdoches has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kaufman Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 63-52 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Nacogdoches' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Kaufman, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Coming up, Nacogdoches will be playing in front of their home fans against Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Dragons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Kaufman, they will challenge North Forney at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
