Cuero got themselves on the board against Pearsall on Friday, but Pearsall never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Mavericks with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Gobblers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by nine runs or more this season.

Natalie Taylor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reagan Reitz, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Caroline Kubesch was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Cuero always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pearsall only posted an OBP of .300.

Cuero is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Pearsall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-12-1.

Cuero will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mavericks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
