Volleyball Recap: Yorkville Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Yorkville Christian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Newark Norsemen by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday.

Yorkville Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-16, 25-19.

Yorkville Christian's defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-17-2. As for Newark, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Yorkville Christian nor Newark have any future games scheduled.
