Lake George posted their closest win since September 26th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Warrensburg Burgers 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Lake George was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 22-25, 25-17, 15-13.

Ava Arakelian paced Lake George's offense, picking up nine kills. Arakelian got some help from Mia Ahigian and her 17 assists. Ahigian also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addison Merrigan, each putting up four.

When it comes to explaining why Warrensburg lost, don't look at Riley Huck. Despite the final result, she had 38 digs. Huck is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 16 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season. Kaylie Powers was another key player, getting seven digs.

Lake George's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Warrensburg, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Lake George didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Shaker on the 23rd. As for Warrensburg, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Fort Edward on the 24th.
