Recap: Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats vs. Burke Bulldogs
The Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats were the 55-31 winner over the Burke Bulldogs when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics fell 63-50 to Burke on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics still got an impressive performance from Caroline Mcgee, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Mcgee scored a full 40% of Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Schroder , who scored 11 points.
Andrea Kelly continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Burke, dropping a triple-double on 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 steals. The matchup was Kelly's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kendall Smith, who scored 12 points.
Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Burke, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics will face off against Hanahan at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Hanahan is ranked 126th, while Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is ranked 137th). As for Burke, they will head out on the road to face off against Academic Magnet at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Academic Magnet comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
