It was a proper cat-fight when Bacon Academy faced off against Plainfield on Thursday. The Bobcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1. The Bobcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Bacon Academy was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-11.

Plainfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Shae Valentin, who had 18 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more digs the last nine times she's played. Paige Sears was another key player, getting five digs and two aces.

The win made it two in a row for Bacon Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Plainfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Coincidentally, Bacon Academy and Plainfield will both be playing East Lyme the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bobcats will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on the 10th.
