Baseball Recap: Pendleton County Comes Up Short

Pendleton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 13-10 to the North Marion Huskies. If the Wildcat were looking for revenge after losing 13-3 to the Huskies when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cashton Kisamore was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Pendleton County is 3-1 when Kisamore posts two or more runs, but 2-7 otherwise. Mason Miller was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Pendleton County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for North Marion, their win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

Looking ahead, Pendleton County will be playing at home against Petersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Marion, they will head out to square off against Philip Barbour at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
