Recap: Statesboro Blue Devils vs. Greenbrier Wolfpack
The Statesboro Blue Devils had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They strolled past Greenbrier with points to spare, taking the game 56-37. Given Statesboro's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Greenbrier is ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alyssa Staten continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last 14 games she's played. Reya Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight assists and two steals.
Statesboro's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Greenbrier, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.
