Basketball Recap: Dunbar Skates Past Cypress Lake with Ease

Dunbar made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Cypress Lake, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Dunbar Tigers couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 54-8 blowout they got against the Cypress Lake Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted against the Panthers since December 10, 2019.

Dunbar found their leader in sophomore Ter'Riah Lynom, who went 7 for 8 on her way to 14 points and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for Lynom. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Salines, who posted eight points and six steals.

Dunbar is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Cypress Lake, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Dunbar will take on Cape Coral at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cypress Lake, they will square off against Bonita Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
