Basketball Recap: Morgan Cicek Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Riverside

Kenston lost to Riverside back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Kenston Bombers came out on top against the Riverside Beavers by a score of 41-32. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bombers.

Kenston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Morgan Cicek out in front who posted 17 points and five rebounds. Cicek's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Aurora Young was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 boards.

Kenston has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenston will host South at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverside, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against North at 12:30 p.m. Riverside is facing North at the right time seeing as North is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
