Baseball Recap: Manitou Springs Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eaton, Manitou Springs was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Woodland Park Panthers by a score of 10-6. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Eli Haugen and Maxton Bolster did most of the damage at the plate: Haugen went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Bolster went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those two runs gave Haugen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Bunker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Manitou Springs' win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Woodland Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-5 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Manitou Springs beat Woodland Park by a score of 7-3 later that day.
