Baseball Recap: Huffman Comes Up Short

After flying high against Center Point on Tuesday, Huffman came back down to earth. The Vikings came up short against the Parker Thundering Herd on Friday, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thundering Herd this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-1 defeat two weeks ago.

Huffman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rodarrius Townsend, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Jasper Evans, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Huffman has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Parker, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Huffman will head out to face off against Clay-Chalkville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Parker, they will venture away from home to challenge Shades Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
