It was a good run, but Marion unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Houston Mustangs by a score of 2-1. KENDALL BROWN paced Marion's offense, picking up 13 kills. BROWN got some help from CLAIRE BRINKLEY and her 11 assists. ABBIGALE SIMMONS controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Houston found their leader in sophomore Ansley Pardue, who had 14 assists and five digs. Pardue is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Houston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Marion will be playing at home against Paragould at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houston, they will face off against Briarcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
