Volleyball Recap: Jessa Roberts and Ella Kelley Secure Win for Rhea County

There's no place like home for Rhea County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Sale Creek Panthers on Monday. For the Golden Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Rhea County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-23.

Leading Rhea County to victory were Ella Kelley and Jessa Roberts. Kelley had 15 digs, while Roberts had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs gave Roberts a new career-high.

Rhea County's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Sale Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Rhea County has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against East Hamilton on the 26th. Sale Creek has also already played their next game (against Marion County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
