Rockingham County waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Eastern Guilford Wildcats 57-43. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Wildcats are ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rockingham County pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Eastern Guilford, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockingham County will square off against High Point Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastern Guilford, they will take on Atkins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
