Basketball Recap: Grayson Mcfalls' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tipton over Muncie Central

Tipton extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-3. They took a hard 68-53 fall against the Muncie Central Bearcats. The Blue Devils were down 62-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grayson McFalls, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. Quinn Tolle also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

As for Muncie Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 66.0 points this season.

Muncie Central was led to victory by Jaxson Johnson and Carlos Echols. Johnson went 7-for-13 to rack up 20 points and five boards, while Echols shot 60% from the field en route to 16 points and five assists. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Shemar Taylor was another key player, putting up five points and five steals.

Tipton and Logansport will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Muncie Central will take on Delta in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
