Basketball Recap: Samson Takes a Loss

Samson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Providence Christian Eagles, falling 50-20. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Eagles are ranked 107th).

Samson's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Providence Christian, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Houston County the next time they take the court. Samson will host Houston County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Providence Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
