Soccer Recap: Momence Comes Up Short

Momence managed to keep up with Beecher until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Momence Athletics came up short against the Bobcats, falling 4-0. The defeat continues a trend for Momence in their meetings with Beecher: they've now lost three in a row.

Momence's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Beecher, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-5-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Momence will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Reed-Custer at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. Momence will be up against Reed-Custer's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.71 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Beecher, they will host Herscher at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
