Richmond waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 73-72 W against the Lafayette County Huskers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 53-45 victory on February 4th.

Richmond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dryden Hendrix, who went 7-for-16 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds. Those 21 points gave Hendrix a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Richmond pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Lafayette County, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richmond will challenge Pleasant Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Pleasant Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Richmond likes a good challenge. As for Lafayette County, they will take on Crossroads at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
