Volleyball Game Preview: Caruthers Blue Raiders vs. Fresno Christian Eagles + How To Watch

Caruthers hasn't had much luck against Fresno Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Raiders will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Caruthers is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since October 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Yosemite, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fresno Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Parlier on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 22nd (when they won 3-0).

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Fresno Christian took every set by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-8, 25-10.

Caruthers' loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Fresno Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-17 record this season.

Caruthers suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Fresno Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Eagles' Danielle Arndt, who had 21 digs and one assist.
