Baseball Game Preview: Wheaton Warriors vs. Ashby Arrows

Wheaton has gone a perfect 3-0 against Ashby recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Arrows at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wheaton is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight games dating back to last season on Saturday. They came up short against Minnewaska Area, falling 16-10.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg hit Ashby with a six-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Arrows lost 12-1 to the Fighting Saints.

Henry Olson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Wheaton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ashby, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Wheaton was able to grind out a solid win over Ashby in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 4-0. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Arrows have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
