Baseball Recap: Forestview Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Forestview got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 15-10 victory over the Ashbrook Greenwave. Considering the Jaguars' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Isaac Aycock made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Forestview is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Aycock was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

In other batting news, CJ Davis was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That stolen base was his first of the season. Alex Nance was another key player, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4.

Forestview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Forestview's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Ashbrook, their defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Forestview will have a chance to go back-to-back against Ashbrook: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
