Volleyball Game Preview: Salem Hills Skyhawks vs. Kearns Cougars

The Salem Hills Skyhawks will square off against the Kearns Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Salem Hills' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Kearns has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Salem Hills is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Springville, who was ranked 21st at the time (Salem Hills was ranked 24th). The Skyhawks came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

The victory didn't come easy: Springville scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-19, 16-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Kearns faced off against West Jordan on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Jaguars, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-18.

Kearns' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Salem Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.
