Baseball Recap: Glenelg Country Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chen last Tuesday, Glenelg Country came back down to earth. The Glenelg Country Dragons lost 9-1 to the Severn School Admirals on Thursday. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Admirals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Brayden Henson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, Glenelg Country fell to 2-1. As for Severn School, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Glenelg Country wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-2 loss against Charlotte Country Day School on the 17th. As for Severn School, they will face off against Westville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Westville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something Severn School will no doubt try to take advantage of.
