Softball Game Preview: Strasburg-Franklin Tigers vs. Dover Crimson Tornadoes

Strasburg-Franklin has won three straight games at home, while Dover has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Tigers will host the Crimson Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. Strasburg-Franklin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Strasburg-Franklin's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Buckeye Trail as they made off with a 9-0 win. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Strasburg-Franklin got a big performance out of Ella Gilkerson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sofia Secrest, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Strasburg-Franklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Dover unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Saturday. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake.

Strasburg-Franklin's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Dover, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.
