Basketball Recap: Pinson Valley Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Pinson Valley rose to the challenge on Saturday. They slipped by the Jasper Vikings 57-56. The win was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on six straight.

It was another big night for Austin 'Woo' Coner, who went 8 for 10 en route to 31 points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Ringstaff, who posted eight points.

Pinson Valley's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Jasper, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-10.

Looking ahead, Pinson Valley will challenge Mae Jemison on Tuesday. Pinson Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season. Jasper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
