Softball Recap: Ravenscroft Comes Up Short

The matchup between Ravenscroft and Durham Academy on Tuesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Ravens lost 14-7 to the Cavaliers. Ravens fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cavaliers since on Tuesday.

Macie Mackinnon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

Ravenscroft's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Durham Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1.

Ravenscroft didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 loss against American Leadership Academy-Johnston on the 29th. As for Durham Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-3 win against Cary Academy on the 29th.
