Baseball Recap: Alma Finds Home Field Redemption Against Central

Alma's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Ionia on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 9-5 win over the Central Wolves.

Brennen Palmer was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Palmer was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ethan Helinski was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Clark Lux was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Alma is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Coming up, Alma will welcome Glenn at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Central, they will face off against Dow at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
