Basketball Recap: Tyler Bullis and Mason Vuncannon Secure Win for Trenton

It was a proper cat-fight when Trenton faced off against The Rock on Tuesday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 80-78 win over the Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Leading Trenton to victory were Mason VunCannon and Tyler Bullis. VunCannon dropped a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Bullis shot 58% from the field en route to 22 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Those six assists gave Bullis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nathan Ridgell, who posted 17 points.

Trenton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for The Rock, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.

Coming up, Trenton will square off against Newberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for The Rock, they will challenge 212 Sports Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
