Volleyball Recap: Sherwood Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Sherwood Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Sherwood Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 20-25, 15-10.

Sherwood Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mount de Sales Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sherwood Christian Academy will square off against Highland Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they will face off against Tattnall Square Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
