Fleming had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Akron Rams as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Fleming never let Akron on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 27-25, 25-15.

Quincy Stull paced Fleming's offense, picking up 14 kills. Stull got some help from Ciana Lousberg and her 33 assists. Ashley Bornhoft controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fleming will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Haxtun at 4:00 p.m. As for Akron, they will venture away from home to take on Kit Carson at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
