Volleyball Recap: Independence's Losing Streak Snapped at 13 Games

Independence had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Del Mar Dons on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the 76ers: when they faced off against the Dons back in April, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

The victory didn't come easy: Del Mar scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 27-25.

Independence's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 5-21. As for Del Mar, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Independence is set to face off against their familiar foe Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Del Mar will challenge rival Branham at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
