Leon had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wakulla War Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the War Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

Leon never let Wakulla on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Wakulla lost, don't look at Kinley Lawhon. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs.

Wakulla's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Leon will face off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Wakulla, they will take on Blountstown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
