Baseball Recap: Dublin Lions vs. Comanche Indians
Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 11-8 to the Comanche Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-8 last Tuesday.
Kyler Gaitan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Aaron Rodriguez, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Even though they lost, Dublin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Comanche struck out eight times.
Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Comanche, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-7.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dublin will face off against rival Breckenridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Comanche is set to square off against their familiar foe Millsap at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
