Soccer Game Preview: Fallbrook vs. San Marcos

The Fallbrook Warriors will challenge the San Marcos Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fallbrook's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, neither Fallbrook nor Mt. Carmel could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Marcos). They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Valley Center 5-4. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

With that draw, Fallbrook's record moves to 2-3-4. As for San Marcos, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5-5.
