Softball Recap: El Dorado Cougars vs. Galt Warriors
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rosemont, El Dorado was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Galt Warriors by a score of 8-5. This was a revenge game for El Dorado, as the team was forced to settle for a 5-4 loss when these two played two weeks ago.
Taylor Gagne made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Gagne was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Shayla Allen was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Abigail Teague, who went 1-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base, and a run.
